How drainage is laid out and where it blocks
Water from the sink, bathtub and toilet runs through branch pipes into the shared riser, down it to the basement, and through the outlet into the city sewer. A blockage in a branch affects one apartment; a blockage in the riser affects the whole entrance. In older buildings the risers are cast iron and scale up inside; in new buildings the pipes are plastic and blockages are more often in the branches.

In a private house the whole drainage is your own: pipework under the floor gathers waste into one outlet that runs through the foundation to a septic tank or manhole in the yard. In the outdoor pipe, blockages come from grease, silt and tree roots. An overflowing septic tank is pumped out first, then the pipe is cleaned.

In a commercial kitchen, waste from the sinks and dishwasher passes through a grease trap: it holds back grease before it sets in the pipe. If the trap is not cleaned on time, grease goes on into the outlet and the blockage hits in the middle of the working day.

How much does drain cleaning cost?
Sink, washbasin or bathtub — 200 ₾, toilet — 250 ₾, central riser — 350 ₾, hydro jetting — 50 ₾ per metre, beyond 100 m — 25 ₾ per metre. That is the price of a standard case during the day; evenings (18–22) are plus 25%, nights (22–9) plus 50%, weekends cost the same as weekdays. If it can't be judged over the phone, a call-out with inspection is 70 ₾, which counts towards the cost of the work.
How fast will you arrive?
Within an hour of your call — day, evening or night. Evenings (18–22) are 25% more, nights (22–9) 50% more; we tell you the arrival time and the final price on the phone.
Can I clear the blockage myself?
Sometimes yes: a blockage in the trap of a sink or bathtub often clears with a plunger. Chemicals and wire usually make it worse, especially in old cast-iron pipes. If the plunger didn't help, call us.
How do I tell whether the blockage is mine or in the riser?
If water won't drain at one point while the others work, the blockage is yours, in the trap or branch pipe. If nothing drains, it gurgles in the neighbouring sink, or water rises when the neighbours above drain, the shared riser is most likely blocked. We'll pin it down on the phone with a couple of questions.
Do you come out at night and on weekends?
Yes, we work around the clock with no days off. Evenings (18–22) are plus 25% to the price, nights (22–9) plus 50%; weekends cost the same as weekdays. We name the final price before we leave.
What guarantee do you give on cleaning?
If the blockage comes back within 3 days after cleaning, we come back and fix it free of charge.
Do you pump out wells or septic tanks?
Yes, we arrange a vacuum truck: first we pump out the overflowing well or septic tank, then we clean the pipe. Pumping is 30 ₾ per m³; the total depends on the volume, and we quote it on the phone.
Do you work in Batumi or Kutaisi?
